I'm a PhD candidate in political theory at the Central European University in Vienna and a DOC Fellow of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW).

My research interests are currently centered around three areas of normative philosophy: theories of relational justice, the ethics and epistemology of personal relationships, and the ethics of migration and demographic policy. My dissertation, tentatively titled "Civic Friendship and Liberal Citizenship", is supervised by Andres Moles (primary), Anca Gheaus, and Cathy Mason.

My surname is Russian and is pronounced as follows:  ah-KAH-yeff
